First - Lake Bachalpsee - First
Short hike with matchless views of the Bernese Alps. Easy path, suitable for every age group. Suitable for baby buggies. Before your eyes an image known all over the world: in the foreground Lake Bachalpsee, in the background soar the majestic snow-covered summits of the Bernese Alps. Special: barbecue spot with supply of wood at Lake Bachalpsee.

First – Bachalpsee - Faulhorn – Bussalp
For 165 years, the Faulhorn has been casting its spell on visitors. A favorite viewpoint with an impressive panorama of the giants of the Bernese Oberland, over the Brienzergrat and down to the basin of the lakes of Thun and Brienz, it has lost none of its attraction today. There is a difference in altitude of 600 meters upwards and 800 meters downwards. A middle rate of fitness required. Estimated time: 4 hours and 15 minutes

First – Bachalpsee – Waldspitz – Bort
Flower trail
The hiking path leads from Bachalpsee down to Waldspitz. From Waldspitz you can either take the direct steep trail to Bort or the easier path direction Nodhalten and Bort. The hike is easy and for all ages. A vast variety of flora delights you along the entire walk; blue gentian, pulsatile, purple gentian, alpine anemone, primula, etc. From middle of June you will find fields of Alpen roses between Bachläger and Waldspitz. This hike can be combined with the Trotti-Bike adventure from Bort down to Grindelwald. From middle of June into autumn you can join a guided flower and herb tour on this trail. The tour leaves weekly on Fridays in all weather conditions and costs CHF 5.00 per person. The meeting point for the tour is the First summit station at 1 pm. The duration of the tour is two hours. No reservations needed!

First – Grosse Scheidegg
Panorama trail
Short hike without any big difficulties. Parallel to trail nr. 6 you will find nr. 8 and nr. 11 which is buggy and wheelchair accessible. Easy walk with fantastic panoramic views. On the way you can make a detour to the valley of marmots. There are information panels that offer interesting facts about the marmots of the Alps.

First – Waldspitz – Bort

The path is shortly after the First summit station relatively steep with some sheer drops. This requires secure footing. Since the trail always goes downhill hiking poles can be helpful. It is not recommended to take small children on this hike (should be older than 7 years). From Waldspitz you can choose between the steep flower trail and the easier "Waldlehrpfad" (forest learning path) to reach Bort. The path gives you information about the ecological importance of the forest.
